Mini-Grants for Educators Based on the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Jefferson Lecture
NCTE, in partnership with the National Humanities Alliance (NHA), announces mini-grants for educators tied to the National Endowment for the Humanities’ prestigious Jefferson Lecture. The Jefferson Lecture is the highest honor the federal government bestows for distinguished intellectual achievement in the humanities.
NCTE and the NHA will offer up to three mini-grants of $1,200 to secondary and middle level English/ELA departments to integrate the National Endowment for the Humanities’ Jefferson Lecture into instruction.

Details:
- The educator submitting the application on behalf of their department must be a current member of NCTE.
- Recipient departments will be notified in late spring.
- Any initial lessons are expected to be executed by the end of November 2025.
