Unpregnant

Unpregnant is a young adult novel that begins with 17-year-old Veronica Clarke taking a pregnancy test in her high school bathroom. This test is positive because her boyfriend, Kevin, tampered with their birth control without Veronica’s knowledge or consent in an effort to keep her from attending college out of state. With her future plans, reputation, and fury at Kevin in mind, Veronica recruits her ex-best friend, Bailey Butler, to drive and accompany her from her small hometown in Missouri to Albuquerque, New Mexico, to get an abortion.
