DESCRIPTION:I had the pleasure of being able to read “Me and My Mama” virtually to a kindergarten class from my hometown in Peoria\, IL for Black History Month. The class that I read to was in a classroom where my mother taught for 25 years so it was touching to me that I was able to relive a special moment. After reading I was able to share with the classroom how my mother used to work there and was able to teach young children.
