This year’s African American Read-In is dedicated to the memory of Gloria Tibbs, founder of the UMKC Libraries’ annual African American Read-In.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Gloria Tibbs after a long illness. Gloria passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of January 24th with her husband Gerald by her side. Memorial services for Gloria are pending; please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
