African American Read-In with the MNU Library
February 9, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The National African American Read-In is the nation’s first and oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature.
MNU Library, MNU’s Diversity Advisory Council, and the Olathe Public Library will co-host Olathe’s 3rd Annual Celebration of this event as a virtual event on February 9, 2021, from 4:00-4:45 pm through Zoom for the campus and community.
All members of the campus and the broader community are welcome to submit 1-2 literary works that they would like to read during the event to email@example.com. Literary works can be anything from poetry, to a novel excerpt, to a non-fiction excerpt, to a song.
You may submit to read at the celebration, which will take place virtually from 4:00 – 4:45 pm through the following link: https://protect-us.mimecast.com/s/5dcNCDkAlEcQVoyFWvqMI?domain=zoom.us
The deadline for accepting submissions is January 20. A program/event timeline will be sent to all participants a week before the event, so that you will know the specific order you will read your excerpts.
