CCSU Literacy Center 2000 to 2021 Celebrating Black History Readathon

February 1, 2021 @ 4:30 am - 7:10 pm

We are afterschool programs that offering free literacy tutoring by certified teachers in our advanced literacy specialist/coach program. This year’s event is online due to COVID. During February our teachers highlight Black History award Corretta Scott King award winner children’s picture books.  On  2/25/21 we will use ZOOM to hold a Black History Read-A-Thon. Students and teachers will use break rooms to read and discuss Black History picture books, and then we will come back together for a community read, and for a virtual award ceremony. This is year 21 for us.
