A Celebration of the Great Alice Walker
February 22, 2022 @ 8:00 am - February 25, 2022 @ 5:00 pm

During the week of Feb. 22-25, the Lakeside High Literature Department will highlight the brilliance of Georgia’s own Alice Walker, author of Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winning novel The Color Purple (among many others). Teachers will introduce her background, then provide an opportunity for students to read, analyze and thoughtfully reflect on the universal themes and vivid imagery found within her work.
