A Night of Literary Jazz

Broad Run High School’s 7th Annual African American Read-In, A Night of Literary Jazz

On February 24th, in honor of Black History Month, Broad Run’s English Department and chapter of the National English Honor Society will virtually host the school’s 7th annual African American Read-In.
The African American Read-In will hold honorary readings from faculty, staff, and students, as well as a special musical performance from Broad Run’s choir and jazz band. This year’s event will feature guest speaker Mr. Reuben Jackson. Jackson is a well distinguished poet, curator of Smithsonian’s Duke Ellington Collection, and former host of Vermont Public Radio’s Friday Night Jazz.
