Read InFluencers - National Council of Teachers of English

Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!

The National African American Read-In is the nation’s oldest event dedicated to diversity in literature.  It was established in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month.

The African American Read-In was started specifically to create a bigger audience for African American authors of books, speeches, poems and spoken word.

Our organization, The Black and Latino Coalition, home to the Mighty Young Techs™ is a 501c3 non-profit created and unified by a common interest in empowering, revitalizing, and securing our communities, particularly of Black and Latino cultures.
