Dorm Information

Dorm rooms will be available at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, at a rate of $60 per night including linens (note: dorm rooms do not include toiletries, hangers, extra linens, or other amenities). You can reserve a dorm room for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday nights via the 2019 ELATE Summer Conference registration form.

Dorm registrants will be required to complete an emergency contact form prior to the conference. You will receive a link to the form via email by late June 2019.

Dorm Room Layout

Dorms will be located in the Northwest Quad Residence Hall, Margaret Clark Hall. View the campus map for the dorm location. There are 4 bedrooms per suite and two bathrooms per suite. Two attendees will be assigned on each side of the suite and will share a bathroom. See the room diagram below for a rough layout of the space.

Conference and Dorm Check-In/Out

Location: The front desk of the Northwest Quad building, Gordon Morgan Hall. (All dorm rooms will be in the Northwest Quad Building C, Margaret Clark Hall.)
Check-in: Dorm check-in will be available with the hours noted below. All attendees may pick up their meal cards and conference name badges in the Northwest Quad at Gordon Morgan Hall. If you arrive outside of these hours, the on-call number is 479-571-0147.
  • Wednesday, July 17: 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 18: 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday, July 19: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 20: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Checkout: All attendees staying in dorm rooms must checkout between 8:00 and 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21.
The University has scheduled unexpected window replacements in the Northwest Quad buildings during the ELATE Conference. Their facilities staff will enter rooms on Thursday, July 18, and Friday, July 19, with staff from Fayetteville Glass Co. They will be in each room about 30 minutes removing and replacing each window. Staff will work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on these days. Attendees in dorm rooms are asked to move personal belongings away from windows on these days so that staff can easily access the space they need. The University apologizes for the short notice and inconvenience.

Dorm Room Amenities

Each dorm room includes the following linens:

  • 1 Flat sheet
  • 1 Fitted sheet
  • 1 Pillow
  • 1 Pillow case
  • 1 Blanket
  • 2 Wash cloths
  • 2 Towels (Towels can be refreshed daily at the dorm’s front desk.)

Dorm rooms do not include toiletries, hangers, or any other amenities than what is noted above. There is a lockable closet assigned to and a wardrobe in each bedroom.

Recreational Facilities

Participants staying the dorm will be able to purchase a day pass to the recreation facility (the HPER) on Stadium Drive. The guest passes are $10 per day. There is a pool and a gym available at the facility. For more information, visit urec.uark.edu.
