Background

The teaching of English and the language arts is a concern of teachers of children and youth from preschool through graduate school. However, the membership of most local and state affiliates of the NCTE is predominantly secondary. Be it therefore

Resolution

Resolved, that local and state affiliates strive for a balance in their membership among elementary, secondary, and college teachers by such means as providing programs of mutual interest, establishing sections within the local groups, etc.
