Encourage young writers. Nominate student work or be a judge for NCTE’s student writing awards.

Share my expertise. Submit a proposal to present at NCTE’s Annual Convention or one of our constituent conferences, or be a proposal reviewer.

Collaborate with fellow eduacators. Join a special interest group focused on literacy and English leadership, teacher education, holistic education, college composition, or two-year colleges.

Volunteer. Peer review articles or books, join one of NCTE’s committees, or participate in the African American Read-In.

Write. Submit a journal article or lesson plan.

Donate. Contribute to support professional development opportunities for English language arts teachers, including providing scholarships for the Annual Convention.
