Barry Lyga’s third novel, Hero-Type (2008), comes highly anticipated due to his immediate success upon his entrance to the writing scene. Lyga has won the Cybil Award for Young Adult literature in 2007 for Boy Toy (2007), and that novel, as well as his The Astonishing Adventures of Fanboy and Goth Girl (2006), has been named to the Young Adult Library Services Association’s 2008 Best Books for Young Adults.
