Grade Level:
In his novel Saturnalia, Paul Fleischman (1990) tells the story of a young Indian boy seeking his true identity as he searches through the shadows of the night for his twin brother. The setting of colonial Boston allows Fleischman to provide a very realistic picture of Puritan society, its hypocrisy, and how it affects outsiders and people with ideas different from those of the societal norms
