Troubling A Star is the story of a teenager named Vicky Austin. She just retuned home from a year in New York to her junior year of high school. Vicky is having mixed feelings about her return home from New York. Her brother, John, would be going back to college at M.I.T, and her boyfriend, Adam Eddington, would be leaving for a semester at LeNoir station in Antarctica to further his studies in marine biology.
