Tunnel Vision is an easy to read book that deals with teen-age suicide. Students in grades seven through ten should find it interesting as more and more of them are being personally touched by this kind of tragedy.
Anthony Hamil was an A student, star of the swim team, respected by his parents and favored by adults. Even his rebellious sister called him Mr. Perfect. Then one day he hung himself with his father’s neckties leaving no note behind. The aftermath of his suicide leaves his family and friends in a state of shock, each condemning themselves for not sensing that his depression prior to the suicide was terminal. The body of the book deals with the entwining flashback memories of those he left behind.
