Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.
If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!
If you’re hosting an event you’d like to share, submit your event here.

African American Read Aloud with B. C. Graham Elementary
February 1, 2021 - February 28, 2021
B. C. Graham Elementary is proud to announce our Second Annual African American Read Aloud!
This year, our Read Aloud will be virtual. We will dedicate the entire month of February to honoring Black History Month with great literature celebrating Black History and the contributions of Black Americans to every facet of our culture.
To this end, we invite all members of our school community, as well as the wider community, to share this celebration with our students by reading a selection appropriate for any grade level between pre-K to fifth grade. Readers can choose any relevant literature, from picture books to poems to short passages from longer works, both fiction and non-fiction. We will share these selections with the students virtually by recording them on videos that teachers can play in the classroom.
Our Library Media Specialist, Mr. John Perry, will be coordinating this event. Please contact him if you are interested in participating in the Read Aloud.
