African American Read in – Read aloud of Henry’s Freedom Box

February 22, 2023 @ 8:30 am - 9:00 am

Today we had an associate superintendent read, Henry’s Freedom Box to a group of 3rd grade bi-lingual students. It was a heart-breaking story with a great ending that focuses on freedom and the tenacity to get there. What a wonderful example of collaboration between leaders, teacher librarians, and classroom teachers within our district.
