February 18, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

After-care participants will be recorded reading African-American children’s books that will be shared with local elementary schools. These recordings will be archived and shared with other classes to promote discussion about the importance of representation in children’s literature, and used to develop a program where diverse students are tasked with writing stories that promote and value various cultural and ethnic identities.
