Bells Elementary 18th Annual National African American Read In

February 28, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

The African American Read-In will begin at 8:00 AM, with volunteers visiting classrooms across different grade levels to share stories, songs, art, music, poetry, or crafts with our students.

This year’s theme, “A Grand Gullah Celebration,” focuses on the rich contributions of the Gullah Geechee people. Despite their significant impact on our culture and history, the Gullah people have not received the national and international recognition they deserve. Their traditions and ways of life have greatly shaped our society, and we aim to honor them on this special day.
