Welcome to the NCTE event calendar! Here, you can find a list of events, including webinars, workshops, and in-person conferences. These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!

Chesilhurst African American Read In and Book Signing

February 4, 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free Will Donation

The Chesilhurst Boro residents, and surrounding communities and churches are invited to join the members and friends of Grant AME Church at 720 4th Avenue in Chesilhurst, NJ, to share highlights of  the book of their choice written by an African American Author. We serve a light lunch at 1:00 PM and then begin with our youth readers. Original poetry, recitations and presentations from Adult readers are shared in the next segment.  Every year we invite an author to speak on their journey into writing. This year we have invited Dr. Cadmus S. Hull, Ed. D., educator, author and CEO of SSJ Books.

Presenters must submit their names and book title to Maria Littles, Christian Education Director at Grant AME Church by email by January 25, 2024, at marialittles@aol.com to be included in the event.
