Clover Street School: A Journey Through Words

As we embrace the spirit of the upcoming Black History Month, we are excited to invite you to a special event that celebrates the richness of African American literature and honors the contributions of Black authors throughout history.
For the second year, Clover Street School will host The National African American Read-In (AARI). The African American Read In is an opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate diversity, and engage in the literary tapestry that reflects the experiences, struggles, and triumphs of the African American community. Our theme this year is, “A Journey Through Words”.
- Welcome of Guest Readers and breakfast 9:00 – 9:40
- Selection of Readings: African American literature that span various genres and eras
- Guest readers accompanied by students to their assigned class for a read aloud followed by a discussion 9:45 – 10:45
