Detroit Book City’s 9th Annual African-American Family Book Expo & Read-In 2025

FreeDetroit Book City’s 9th Annual African-American Family Book Expo & Read-In 2025! This event will be held on Sat. Feb. 22, 2025 from 12:00pm – 5pm at Ernest T. Ford Field House 10 Pitkin St., Highland Park, MI 48203 Admission is FREE with Eventbrite ticket. This one-day family book event is hosted to promote, preserve and sustain literacy in Metro Detroit while celebrating the Heritage of Black History. Meet over 40 talented independent authors of adult & children’s books from across the country and purchase their autographed books! Sign-up to read your story, poem or song written by a legendary African-American writer from the past that focuses on the Black experience.
