Franklin Elementary School NCTE African American Read In
February 24, 2023 @ 9:00 am
Franklin Elementary School students and staff joined schools across the country in the NCTE African American Read In. We took the time to read together as a school community, centering on African American books and authors in an effort to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month. The eighth grade students read to the students in grades pre-k to 5th. The 6th and 7th graders read, discussed, and reflected on The Other Side by Jacqueline Woodson.
