Harrison School District Two AARI 2021

Harrison School District Two in Colorado Springs, Colorado is proud to participate in the 2021 African American Read In. Throughout the month of February, students from across Harrison School District Two attending Otero Elementary School, Wildflower Elementary School, Mountain Vista Community School, Fox Meadow Middle School, Stratton Meadows Elementary School, Giberson Elementary School, and Bricker Elementary School will read works from African American authors as they explore Black experiences and celebrate diversity in our community and others. Over 2,000 students from across Harrison School District Two will participate in this event as teachers provide this opportunity to align with Harrison School District Two’s core beliefs and AARI founder’s profound words: “It is important FOR ALL OF US to see ourselves in books.”
