These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

Hillside Elementary School – Annual African American Read-In
February 18, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
All students will gather together with their homeroom teacher for one full academic period to read and discuss a fiction or non-fiction text written by an African American author in which the subject is African American. Teachers of all subjects, including Math and Science, will select books to read and discuss with their students. In all, close to 500 students will participate in this annual event at Hillside Elementary School in Montclair, NJ.
