These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.
If you have an event that you would like to submit to be included on the NCTE event calendar, please fill out the event submission form. To be considered, events must align with the mission of NCTE and be of professional interest to English language arts teachers. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events!

February 22, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Please join the Jeanne Chall Reading Lab (JCRL) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in celebrating Black History Month by participating in NCTE’s National African American Read-In. The National African American Read-in is a groundbreaking effort to encourage communities to read together, centering African American books and authors.
Come browse the JCRL’s collection of African American authors and illustrators during the week of 2/22 (Tuesday-Friday); the JCRL will be open daily from 11-6. Attendees will be entered into a raffle to win one of the 2022 Coretta Scott King Award Winners (“Unspeakable: The Tulsa Race Massacre”, “Me (Moth),” & “The Me I Choose to Be”). We look forward to seeing you there!
