Kutztown University’s African American Read-In

February 7, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Faculty, staff, and students gathered to read and discuss books and poetry written by Black authors at the open house for the new Frederick Douglass Institute at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Participants brought books and passages to read aloud to the group. We then talked further about our personal connections to the texts. This event also included the dissemination of the book Caste by Isabel Wilkerson that will be read as a book study for faculty, staff, and students.
