Pace Center for Girls, Volusia Flagler 3rd Annual African American Read-In

Pace Center for Girls, Volusia-Flagler is proud to announce its Third Annual African American Read-In, celebrating African American literature and voices as part of the nationwide initiative to honor Black authors and storytellers.  The event will take place on February 192026, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Pace Center for Girls, Volusia-Flagler. 

This year’s program at Pace will feature readings and presentations by Pace girls, staff members, and community members, highlighting works that inspire, educate, and empower.

“This event is an opportunity for our girls to connect with powerful stories and voices that reflect resilience, creativity, and cultural pride,” said Sheila A. Jorda, Executive Director. “We are thrilled to bring together our community to celebrate literature that has shaped history and continues to influence generations.”

The Read-in is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in this meaningful celebration of African American heritage through literature.
