Rooted & Written | Broad Run’s 9th Annual African American Read-In

On February 7th, in honor of Black History Month, Broad Run’s English Department and Psi Epsilon Nu (PEN), the chapter of the National English Honor Society, will host the school’s 9th annual African American Read-In, Rooted & Written.   In addition to readings and musical performances by faculty, staff, and students, this year’s event will feature guest speaker Tara Campbell, an award-winning writer, teacher, Kimbilio Fellow, fiction co-editor at Barrelhouse, and graduate of American University’s MFA program in Creative Writing.
