TCTELA 2026 African American Read-In

The Texas Council of Teachers of English Language Arts (TCTELA) is hosting a virtual African American Read-In event that highlights and celebrates the importance of literacy as a significant part of Black History Month by showcasing the work of African American authors via book talks and read-alouds.
Brilliant author and illustrator, Yesenia Moises, is the special guest. She will share one of her latest titles. We will also experience book talks facilitated by TCTELA board members. This event is meant for all. We invite PK-12 educators, librarians, parents, etc.
