These events provide opportunities for English language arts teachers to learn new strategies and techniques, network with colleagues, and stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

Tusculum University’s Annual African American Read-In

Free

Drop in or stay to celebrate Black History Month, as students, faculty, staff, & community members listen to or read from poetry, plays, novels, essays from prominent Black authors! Example readings will be provided, or you can bring your own. Participants also can choose to play videos of notable speeches (e.g. MLK, James Baldwin, Angela Davis) or music (e.g. Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Billie Holiday).

Light refreshments will be provided.
