Warren Library 2nd Annual African American Read-In

The Warren Library at Palm Beach Atlantic University will host its 2nd Annual African American Read-In on Thursday, February 16th, 11:00am-11:50am in the Rotunda, located on the first floor of the library. Participants will enjoy a storytime, crafts, and snacks as we enjoy selections from some of the best African American children’s literature.
Educators (and teachers in training), childcare centers, headstart centers, parents with children, and homeschooler classes are all welcome and encouraged to attend this free and open event.
The National African American Read-In was started in 1990 by the Black Caucus of the National Council of Teachers of English with a mission to make literacy and reading a significant part of Black History Month. It aims to encourage communities to read together, focusing on African American books and authors.
