Learn More about the National Book Festival - National Council of Teachers of English

Join us for a webinar about the National Book Festival and how you can be involved!

Tuesday, September 22, 7 p.m. ET

The 2020 Library of Congress National Book Festival will connect with audiences across the country for an interactive, online celebration of “American Ingenuity” for the Festival’s 20th year, featuring new books by more than 120 of the nation’s most renowned writers, poets, and artists. The Festival will also showcase the many ways our national library embraces all subjects in its unparalleled collection.

During the weekend of September 25–27, virtual stages will offer on-demand videos, live author chats and discussions, and options to personalize your own journey through the Festival with particular themes. Educators and students will have the opportunity to engage with authors like never before.

And we want to give you a head start on preparing to participate in this year’s Festival!

Join us for a webinar with the Library of Congress that will give you a sneak peek into the National Book Festival platform. You will learn ways to participate as an NCTE member and to submit blog posts reviewing the event. There will be plenty of time to discuss how you can work the Festival into your instructional plans.
