NCTE and the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property at American University’s Washington College of Law’s Open Educational Resources (OER) Fellowship brought together a diverse and dedicated group of K–12 educators, librarians, and instructional designers. This group worked diligently to assemble real-world examples of Fair Use doctrine in ELA instruction.
The resulting document, Leverage Fair Use in the ELA Classroom: Enacting Best Practices for Open Educational Resources, is designed to demystify legal terminology and show educators how they can use Creative Commons resources every day.
