GCHS African American Read In

February 19, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 2:30 pm

High school students at Greene County High School invite everyone to celebrate the movers, shakers, and innovators of the Culture. Black history is OUR history and here we are #onetigernation serving up a platter of #blackexcellence. Book talks, poetry recitations, rap performances, a lecture from our esteemed Dr. Rhym. Students engage with content across the curriculum, reading about influential people in art, math, science, history, and more! Keep an eye out and see what us Tigers can do. Readings from Acevedo, Reynolds, Kendi, Alexander, and so many more will be shared. Our theme this year is Readers Unite as we all come together as one people.
