Open Mic: African American Read-in

Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 12:30-3:30 p.m

Montgomery College Creative Writing students and community members read from literature by African American authors or their own creative writing.

Participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from this year’s theme for the Frank Islam Athenaeum Symposia of “Civil Rights, Human Rights, and Social Responsibility.” Following the tradition of the National African American Read-In, this event celebrates African American Literature.
