2023 NCTE Committee Meeting Request Form

  • Open and Closed Meeting Designations: You could designate part or all of your meeting as “open” so visitors are invited to take part in your discussion on the form. Open meetings are not desirable if your agenda calls for work that is confidential or would be impeded by comments or questions from visitors. An open session – for at least part of your meeting – is encouraged if your agenda is not too full. Committees looking for new committee members and ideas have found open sessions helpful. Open meetings are also an opportunity to increase the visibility of your committee’s important work.
