NCTE is pleased to invite its affiliate and assembly leaders to participate in a book study of The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters by Priya Parker. This book study will be hosted by NCTE affiliate leaders Shanetia P. Clark, secretary of the Maryland Council of Teachers of English Language Arts (MDCTELA) and Bob Dandoy, treasurer of the Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts (PCTELA). As a community of educators, leaders, and learners, we’ll explore more about why we gather and how we can do so differently to fit the present times—and perhaps long into the future.
