You are invited to comment on the 2025 Reading Framework draft for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP). Click here to review the framework and log your comments. You are also invited to attend a webinar that includes Kathleen Hinchman and Allison Skerrett, members of the 2025 Reading Framework Development Panel; Michelle Blair of the National Assessment Governing Board; and Mira-Lisa Katz of WestEd.
Reviewing the draft framework, learning about the proposed changes, and sharing your feedback are central ways to influence the next version of the NAEP Reading Assessment, to be delivered in 2025. Specific changes to the framework have been led by a Development Panel chaired by P. David Pearson, and panelists have included NCTE members. Two NCTE members will present on the webinar scheduled for Tuesday, July 14.
You can read more about the 2025 Framework Update here and about the National Assessment Governing Board, the agency responsible for NAEP as mandated by the U.S. Congress, here.
