The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation (Tri-C), of Cleveland, OH was awarded a $10 million gift from The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation and the Mandel Supporting Foundation to establish the Jack, Joseph and Morton Humanities Center. To date, this is the largest donation ever received by the College. According to the official Tri-C press release, once built, the center will “be focused on creating civically responsible citizens who will lead Northeast Ohio toward a stronger economic and social future.” The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center will be constructed on Tri-C’s Eastern Campus. This multipurpose center will provide programming and special events for faculty, staff, students, and community members.
