Indiana Education Policy Focuses on Higher Education Degree Completion
The Indiana Higher Education Commissioner Teresa Lubbers is asking for an increase in the number of Indiana graduate with degrees in higher education. She recognizes recent progress in degree-granting, but urges that Indiana not lose momentum; Indiana ranks 40th in higher educational attainment. Policy reforms to increase completion include the following:
· streamline college credit to 120 hours
· increase affordability
· simplify college transfer, articulation and completion
