RSD in New Orleans may lose controls of schools as early as 2019

The city of New Orleans may have a new look in education in the 2018-19 school year if legislation passes successfully in the Louisiana House of Representatives this session.

The Senate and the House Education Committees of Louisiana have passed a bill “to return schools in the Recovery School District to the local school board by no later than 2019.”
