Georgia Board of Regents now has a policy that will do away with temporary faculty members who “stay forever” in their positions. From now on, limited-term faculty will be able to serve two years and two years only, with no extensions from moving from one University System of Georgia institution to another. Full-time (benefitted, more than 6 contact hours) temporary faculty may not work at any USG institution for 5 years before they can be re-hired.
