NCTE Affiliate Leadership Development Award
Beginning with the 2026 Affiliate Awards cycle, the NCTE Affiliate Leadership Development Award has now been combined into a new NCTE Affiliate Excellence in Programming Award. In an effort to be responsive to the modern work that is being done in our affiliate organizations, this was a timely opportunity to reframe the Affiliate Awards structure to better reflect the full scope of engagement, leadership, and innovation emerging across the affiliates of NCTE. These shifts seek to honor longstanding excellence while also introducing new awards reflective of modern professional practice—new initiatives, projects, and policies that affiliates are enacting across the country—and celebrate work currently being done, aspiring to new levels of affiliate engagement.
