2026 Achievement Awards in Writing & Promising Young Writers: Call for Reviewers

All reviewers will receive instructions and judging criteria with the submissions assigned to them. The judging window is early February to mid-April each year. Please email studentwriting@ncte.org with any questions.

  • If you live and teach in two different states or provinces, please include both.
  • If you responded "Both!" above: please respond to this question as the number of submissions for the Achievement Awards in Writing. If you did not respond "Both!" please fill in the number of submissions that you would like to score for the award that you're scoring.
  • If you did not respond "Both!" please disregard.
  • Certificates will be emailed within a week of completing the judging process.
  • Contest judging takes place from August to November each year.
  • This year, NCTE would like to express its gratitude to reviewers by highlighting their service in the summer of 2026. We plan to shout out each reviewer on our website with their first name, last name, and state/territory. To opt out or modify what is shared, please select one of the options below.
