The teenage years are some of the most difficult years to go through for most people, but what
about the difficulties of young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ)
teenagers? On top of facing the generic teenage complications, homosexual teens face ridicule
and isolation (among other things) from people at school, home, and society. These are tragic
issues are real to many Americans, but to all. Julie Anne Peters expresses some of these issues
