Grade Level:
The book’s author takes us on a personal journey of identifying and challenging his own racist ideas as he explicitly details the ideologies and systems/ policies that supported and challenged those ideas. He defines racism and antiracism in culture, behavior, color, space, gender, etc. (also chapter titles). In so doing, he allows space for us to consider our own racist or antiracist practices. He ultimately believes that racist policies all stem from self-service.
