The Grass Harp

This novel is a story told from the first person perspective of Collin. Collin lives with his two aunts, and their maid, Catherine. He comes to live with his aunts after his mother dies, when he is eleven. Shortly after, he is orphaned by the death of his father. Through the years Collin, Dolly (the elder yet timid aunt), and Catherine, the servant and confidant of Dolly, become great friends. They spend cozy evenings in the kitchen and Saturday afternoons searching for herbs and other ingredients for Dolly’s medicine.
