Scott Pendleton Collins is a seventeen-year-old boy thar decided to enroll in the army to partake in World War II. He has adoration for his father and grandfather, and for the main reason of carrying on battle lines, he is willing to fight for his country, and, “I would like to have my picture on thar wall…it would make me proud to show that I have served my country” (Myers, p.4).
